(FORE) was founded in 2016 by brothers Dan, Tom, and Jack Klister with a vision of developing and acquiring high-quality real estate that strengthens communities and creates places where both residents and businesses can thrive. The company is committed to thoughtful design, exceptional service, and a long-term ownership model that prioritizes lasting value.
Since its founding, FORE has developed more than 22 projects representing over $225 million in construction value. Its portfolio spans a diverse range of asset classes, including multifamily, mixed-use, retail, hospitality, and industrial properties. Focus in recent years on multifamily and mixed use has resulted in current ownership and operation of more than 855 residential units.
In addition to its independent development activities, FORE is a partner in MF Housing Partners, a joint venture between Mosaic Development and FORE Development, focused on creating high-quality affordable housing throughout the Midwest. The partnership specializes in developments utilizing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program to deliver well-designed, sustainable communities that expand access to quality housing.
Prior to forming FORE with brothers Tom & Jack, Dan worked as a tenant-representation broker at Mid-America Real Estate (Milwaukee, WI) and as a development & acquisitions associate with Verdad Real Estate (Denver, CO). Dan graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Real Estate & Finance) from Marquette University.
Tom spearheads financing, construction, and project development activities. Prior to joining FORE, Tom was a financial analyst at Ernst & Young in Chicago, in the Real Estate Transaction Advisory services group. Tom graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Real Estate & Urban Land Economics; Finance) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jack joined FORE in 2018 after working as an Analyst in the Chicago office for Stan Johnson Company (now Northmarq), a nationally recognized brokerage company that specializes in the sale of primarily single tenant, NNN lease retail assets. Jack now oversees the Property Management division of FORE, assisting with retail and residential leasing efforts, marketing, and facilities management. Jack graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (Real Estate & Urban Land Economics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
